Port Adelaide To Investigate After Some Of Ken Hinkley’s Changeroom Address Was Broadcast On TV

Hinkley could be heard addressing players while broadcast host Brian Taylor said he “I’m not sure we’re supposed to hear this or not”.

FIVEAA Breakfast’s Will Goodings reported during Tuesday’s Breaking @ 8 segment:

“The AFL broadcast agreement prevents any broadcast of those kind of interactions. You’re simply not allowed to do it.

“We’ve contacted Port Adelaide this morning and the official view from the club is they haven’t reviewed the footage yet. They’ve heard about it, they spoke to Channel 7 last night to seek some clarification. Channel 7 told them that you couldn’t hear any of Ken’s address, it was just muffled inaudible noise. That’s rubbish, you can hear some of it, you can hear him talking positively about the win and the season gone.

“The club say if it turns out you can hear some of it then they’re going to take a particularly dim view of it… they are going to seek some clarification. They say if any of Ken’s address was broadcast it’s been effectively done without their consent or knowledge…

“This has all the hallmarks of a stuff up… Port Adelaide set to review today…”
