A terrifying video filmed in Sydney on Monday has caught the moment a girl came within meters of being struck by a lightning bolt.

The video was filmed at Tamarama beach near Bondi by the girl’s boyfriend as the pair made their way down to the beach during a bad storm.
As she reaches the edge of the water, the girl pauses and points to the threatening storm clouds.
In the next moment, a crack of lightning lands perilously close to the girl. Terrified, she returns to her boyfriend who had filmed the whole the thing, and the pair flee.
