Terrifying video has captured the moment a convoy of CFS trucks was forced to drive through a raging bushfire on Kangaroo Island.

CFS member Mark Harte — who recorded the video in Flinders Chase National Park on 3 January — has told The Advertiser:
“We were chasing the fire in the morning and then by lunchtime we had to start running away from it.
“The first burn-over was up on Church Rd and then we had go through the fire front again to get out.
“The strike team leaders were extremely calm, cool and collected and got us out.”
