SA Health has revealed that two patients are in intensive care after contracting coronavirus.
SA Health’s Dr Nicola Spurrier says the people are in a critical condition at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
They are the state’s first COVID-19 patients to be placed in the ICU.
“We have people now admitted who are critically ill,” Spurrier said.
“At this point in time it is incredibly important for us to stay as well and far away from other people.”
The two patients are not related to each other.
