SA Premier Steven Marshall’s response to the coronavirus crisis so far surpasses that of just about any other leader in the country, argues FIVEAA Breakfast co-host Will Goodings.
Will said on Thursday:“You can go through a lot of names. Steven Marshall is probably the number one pick right now, in fact I think he undoubtedly is. “This has been by a long way the strongest part of his premiership of South Australia and I’d suggest too his leadership of the Liberal party. He’s engendered a sense of calm, the messaging’s been clear. “You look around and see his relative strength compared to other leaders and he looks exceptional right now.”Political pundit Matt Abraham agreed Mr Marshall’s response has “probably been the making of him”.
“Let’s hope we’re not talking too soon, but I don’t think so… I think he’s getting the balance right in South Australia. “I think Steven Marshall is running his own race. He’s doing a very, very good job. He’s doing a surprisingly good job of not trying to out compete the eastern states for a change… in this case steering his own course.”LISTEN:
