SA’s Police Commissioner says travel between SA and QLD will be on the agenda at Monday’s Transition Committee meeting after QLD went into lockdown over the weekend following a spike in COVID cases.

SA Health has issued an alert encouraging any SA residents currently in QLD to think about returning as soon as possible and asking anyone with plans to travel to the sunshine state to reconsider.

Police Commissioner Grant Stevens has told David & Will on FIVEAA Breakfast that border arrangements will be discussed at Monday’s meeting:

“We have to have a look at the relationship with Victoria particularly and the cross-border arrangements there and also I think QLD is also going to be a topic of conversation as well in terms of movement between SA and QLD.

“The big issue for us is triple digits in NSW every single day. That’s a real concern for us.”
