Police say they are treating a large grass fire between Kersbrook and Williamstown on Thursday morning as suspicious.
According to SPAOL:
About 5.50am today (Thursday 9 January) police and fire crews were called to an area near the South Para Reservoir after reports of a large grass fire.
The blaze was brought under control by fire crews just after 8am.
Police are treating the fire as suspicious, and anyone who may have information that can assist is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
Anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area between 5.30am and 6.40am in the area, on South Para Road between Kersbrook and Williamstown, or in the vicinity is also urged to contact police.
The CFS advised on Thursday morning they had the fire contained but smoke will reduce visibility and there is a risk of trees and branches falling.
