The new Apple iPhone 7 could be missing the headphone jack

1 min read

The highly anticipated iPhone 7 is believed to be launching in September with a range of new features and the removal of at least one old one.

There are strong rumours the new iPhone 7 will have no headphone jack.

A snap circulating on social media of a pair of Apple headphones reveal they plug in via the Lightning port…

Now many are saying this means users will have to connect to their phones wirelessly through Bluetooth or with headphones that will plug into a Lightning connector.

The potential change is reminding some Apple fans of when the iPhone port changed from the 4 to the 5 and the expensive speakers many had purchased were no longer compatible with the new model.

The iPhone 7 is expected to launch around September, so until then you may want to hold off on those new headphones you’ve been eyeing off.
