Nazi Swastikas Are Appearing On Streets Around North Adelaide

2 min read

“I’ve been told on very good authority there is an Adelaide white supremacist group who organise sticker events in the middle of the night.”

Photos taken on Friday show a swastika stuck to the back of a sign in North Adelaide:

FIVEAA’s Jade Robran reported on her afternoons show on Friday:

“I’ve been told on very good authority there is an Adelaide white supremacist group who organise sticker events in the middle of the night.”

Earlier this week The Advertiser reported North Adelaide residents were concerned by a “spate of Nazi swastika stickers” appearing around the area.

Local man Robert told the paper he had personally seen at least three stickers while walking his dog through Tynte Street, O’Connell Street and Barton Terrace East:

“The stickers themselves are not going to harm anyone but it‘s the symbol of pure evil it represents,” he said.

“I would like the person or people responsible to step forward and express their political view point in public.

“I’m all in favour of freedom of speech. But somehow I don’t think they will.”

Public display of the Nazi swastika was banned in Victoria last month.

Dr Dvir Abramovich from the Anti-Defamation Commission in Victoria told Jade Robran on Friday:

“There’s no excuse to dismiss this evolving security risk that is evolving before our very eyes…

“We are talking about homegrown extremists, domestic terrorists in waiting. And they’re ticking timebombs, they’re a clear and present danger. Ignoring the threat they pose will costs us lives…

“We don’t need a Christchurch in Adelaide before we act… this is the time to designate this movement as terrorist organisations.”
