1 min read

LATEST

A man has been charged after a robbery at a Salisbury service station overnight.

According to SAPOL:

Just before midnight Thursday 16 September police were called to a service station on the Salisbury Highway after a man entered, allegedly threatened staff with a knife and demanded cash. The man left on foot heading south on Salisbury Highway with a small amount of money. Thankfully staff were not physically injured.

Northern patrols and PD Jax searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
Later about 2.20am (Friday 17) police were called to a street in Salisbury Downs after reports a man had been seen in the street armed with a knife acting unusually.

Police quickly attended the area where they located a 41-year-old Salisbury Downs man who matched the description of the robbery suspect. He was placed him under arrest and has been charged with aggravated robbery. He is expected to be refused bail.

Anyone who witnessed either incident who has not yet spoken to police is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report on line at www.crimestopperssa.com.au – you can remain anonymous.
