“We woke to sunny skies at Smoky Bay. A glorious spot on the West Coast.

“The beautiful bay is popular in summer with families and fishermen.

“It’s also a Great place to catch whiting and crabs.

“The Bashers headed down to the beach for a morning of sporting activities, which included  the jetty rope climb, beach crawl and Sandhills challenge.

“Their endeavours were rewarded with a delicious seafood lunch, with wonderful fresh sea food caught locally.

“The highlight of the afternoon was the oyster shucking completion. Despite the fast and furious pace no one was injured.

“Wednesday we head north.”
