FIVEAA Breakfast’s David Penberthy says the state government “has to explain” why teachers are currently not scheduled to get Rapid Antigen Tests after he revealed other public workers are getting kits.

Penbo said during Tuesday’s Breaking @ 8 segment:
“We’ve been contacted in the last 24 hours by people at the Department of Transport and Infrastructure – apparently they’ve got RAT tests… we’ve been told they’re using them daily at the state government’s own traffic management centre…
“If it’s good enough for the people who work at the traffic management centre, for DPTI to have access to RAT tests – because they’re another arm of government too – why is it that the teachers that are on the frontline with dozens of kids every day don’t have access to that…
“There are some weird supply and distribution issues here. If one part of government is using RAT tests I think the government has to explain why it is that the Education Department can’t.”
