Talking on US television about the country’s gun debate in the wake of last week’s shooting in Oregon, a Fox News host has stated that Australians have “no freedom”.
Co-host Clayton Morris prompted the comments, quoting anti-gun campaigners who say, “Look at Australia, they have no gun violence, they don’t have guns.”
This was host Tucker Carlson’s response:
“They also have no freedom. You can go to prison for expressing unpopular views in Australia, and people do… No one ever says that.”
