Female flight attendants called "short and fat"

2 min read

Female flight attendants working for Argentine Airlines were called “short and fat” by a passenger, the airline’s response is great.

Female flight attendants have long been perceived in a superficial light.

However the days of physical prerequisites are long gone. (Phew!)

BUT, for one passenger aboard Argentine Airlines, the physical appearance of the female stewards were not to his taste, and he thought he would take it upon himself to complain on the airline’s Facebook page.

He called them “short and fat”.

“What gets my attention is the low quality of flight attendants that the company has … Before they were tall, nice. Now they only take short fat girls.”

Needless to say the post has since been deleted, but not before it sparked outrage the world over – Twitter has erupted with fury.

The company’s response?

They posted a list of physical requirements for the cabin crew, accompanied by the line, “Your prejudices are not going to fly.”

OUCH!

The airline’s response garnered a whopping 50 000 likes (and counting).

According to the post, the requirements for becoming an airline hostess with Argentine Airlines included being older than 18 years old, between 163cm and 175cm tall for women, 170cm – 185cm for men, and being an Argentine national who can speak English, with the ability to swim.
