Facebook plans to change the face of travel forever

1 min read

flying may soon be a thing of the past, if Mark Zuckerberg has anything to do with it…

Facebook has revolutionised the way we communicate.

Now, the team is working on a way to revolutionise the way we travel.

Mark Zuckerberg and the Facebook cream is in the process of developing the Oculus Rift Virtual Reality Headset.

“WTF is that!?” you ask?

Well, it’s essentially a virtual reality headset that you can wear to explore a location of your choice.

“VR is more than just a platform, it can create a whole range of human experiences,” Michael Abrash, chief scientist at Oculus told The Daily Mail.

“It will be pretty wild,” Zuckerberg reportedly told arynews.tv.

Murad Osmann

“Just like we capture photos and videos today and then share them on the internet to let others experience them too, we’ll be able to capture whole 3D scenes and crete new environments, then share those with people as well,” he said.

It’s all still a work in progress – but how would you feel about virtual travel? Would you swap the plane trip for the headset?
