US President Donald Trump has tweeted about his “love” for Australia after calling PM Scott Morrison to offer his support while bushfires burn across the country.
“Thanks for the call @realDonaldTrump,” Mr Morrison tweeted on Tuesday, “and for your strong messages of sympathy, support and friendship for Australia during our terrible bushfire season. Thanks also to the American people for their many messages of support. Australia and the US are great mates.”
In response Mr Trump tweeted: “We love Australia!”
