Brand South Australia is launching a new mascot — Wanda the Wombat.
According to Brand SA: Wanda is a southern hairy-nosed wombat who is proud to be South Australian, and was created to engage a younger local audience.
“We’re excited to welcome Wanda the Wombat to the team,” Brand SA’s Karen Raffen said.
“There are so many wonderful South Australian brand mascots out there, from Mr Fruchoc to Larry the Kyton’s Lamington, we thought it was time we had one to represent the state of South Australia.”
Wanda will be appearing on Tuesday 23 January from 11.30am – 3.30pm under the Gawler Place Canopy in Rundle Mall.
