Autumn this year is shaping up to be warmer and drier than average, says the Bureau of Meteorology.
This week the Bureau released its autumn outlook — and the news isn’t great if you’re hanging out for the cooler weather.
Record-breaking heat was recorded in parts of Australia this summer, and “above average temperatures are likely to continue in autumn”, according to BOM.

Autumn temperatures: Above average temps likely to continue in autumn. Start of the southern cropping season is likely to be drier than average. Days and nights likely to be warmer than average over majority of Australia, and “further heatwaves are possible”.
