Sturt Police station has been evacuated after cracks appeared in the building when it appeared to move on Tuesday night.
The police station on Sturt Road was evacuated as a precaution on Tuesday night after patrols at the station heard a rumble and saw what appeared to be structural movement in the western end of the building.
There were no injuries and there were no prisoners or members of the public at the station at the time.
The building is currently closed and will need to be inspected before normal operations can resume.
Patrols are operating out of neighbouring stations.
Front counter services are being maintained by staff in the Police Operations Vehicle (POV) situated in the car park, but members of the public who do not have urgent business or who are able to are asked to attend another station.
