A Jetstar flight into Adelaide was forced to turn back on Wednesday night after it was late leaving Melbourne.
According to The Advertiser, the flight’s pilot told passengers permission to land had been revoked when it was above Meningie and had to turn back.
Passenger Peter Eckhert has told the paper:
“It was a really rough flight all the way across before the pilot came on and told the cabin crew to get ready for landing.
“We all our seat belts still fastened and the hostesses were doing their things to get ready to land when the pilot came back on and said we were returning to Melbourne because Adelaide Airport had revoked our permission to land…
“The pilot said permission had been granted before we left Melbourne but then it got revoked.”
The flight reportedly got back into Melbourne at 12:30am.
