Yassmin Is Urging Her Followers To Post A Controversial Message On Anzac Day

1 min read

Muslim activist Yassmin Abdel-Magied is encouraging social media followers to post controversial tweets on Anzac Day.

Sharing a suggestion by Sally Rugg to tweet ‘“lest we forget (Manus)” next week on April 25th’, Yassmin urged her own 55,000 Twitter followers: “Do it.”

Yassmin was forced to apologise last year when she wrote a Facebook post on Anzac Day stating: “Lest We Forget (Manus, Nauru, Syria, Palestine…).”

She later amended the post to “Lest. We. Forget” and said sorry.

“It was brought to my attention that my last post was disrespectful, and for that I unreservedly apologise,” she wrote at the time.
