A malware threat is putting users of the popular Facebook Messenger app at risk, reports Adelaide Techguy Richard Pascoe.
As part of the scam, users receive a message from a friend that contains:
– The word ‘Video’ with the name of the sender
– An emoji
– A shortened link
If you click it, you could end up having your personal log in info stolen, says Richard — so play it safe and don’t open anything matching this description until your friend confirms it’s safe to open.
