Tony Abbott Talks About The One Way He Could Become PM Again

Former PM Tony Abbott says the only way he would be PM again is if his Liberal colleagues call on him.

“When you are an ex the only way you can come back is if you’re drafted and I think that is a pretty rare and unusual business in politics,” Mr Abbott told 2GB on Monday.

“You are talking about hypothetical… the only way an ex could ever come back would be by way of a draft and that is almost impossible to imagine.”

Mr Abbott’s comments come as Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull closes in on 30 Newspoll losses in a row, which was a reason Mr Turnbull cited for challenging Mr Abbott in 2015. His latest is Mr Turnbull’s 21^st consecutive loss.
