The Salaries Of SA’s Politicians Are Increasing By Up To $8,000 A Year

Pay checks for South Australian politicians are going up by between $4,000 and $8,000 a year from July.

The raise takes the base salary to about $195,000 a year, while Premier Steven Marshall will now earn about $390,000 a year.

Treasurer Rob Lucas has told The Advertiser the government has no plan to unlink state salaries from those for federal politicians.

“The current situation was arrived at after much discussion and consultation and we believe that is a reasonable balance,” Mr Lucas said.
