According to News Ltd motoring editor Philip King, the ZB is the Commodore’s “biggest move away from its origins in its 40-year history”.
“It’s now right in the mix with mainstream mid-to-large size cars, where the Toyota Camry and Mazda 6 reign supreme,” King writes.
“In doing so, it’s abandoned the things that made it different: unrivalled cabin roominess and the enthusiast’s preferred format of rear-wheel drive.
“Oh, and the option of a thumping, large-capacity naturally-aspirated V8.”
Starting price is $33,690 (plus on-road costs).
