The Adelaide City Council is investing more than $10 million into a 10-gigabit fibre-optic network, saying it will deliver high-speed internet 100 times faster than the NBN.
The council is in partnership with TPG to deliver the network, which will only be available to businesses in the city and North Adelaide.
The first phase of the project will start early next year, with connections offered for free and costs lower than comparable plans.
