17 South Australians have now lost their lives in the state’s flu crisis, SA Health revealed on Monday.
13 of those deaths were residents in aged care facilities, and 18 nursing homes have now been placed into lockdown.
More than 12,000 flu cases have already been reported this year in an unprecedented start to SA’s flu season. At the same time last year 1,348 cases had been reported.
The death toll has risen to 17, as South Australia's worsening flu crisis sends nursing homes into lockdown. @mikesmithson7 has the latest in 7NEWS at 4pm and 6pm. #saparli #7NEWS https://t.co/dhe5jvJ0rt
