Some Bad News For John Farnham Fans

Mar 7, 2019

Legendary singer John Farnham has been forced to cancel several upcoming Australian tour dates due to “recent illness from which he is still recovering”, according to promoters.

Zaccaria Concerts and Touring announced on Thursday:

“We regret to announce that the forthcoming By The C Concerts with John Farnham, which were to be held at Queen Elizabeth Park, Coolangatta, on Saturday March 16; Leura Park Estate Geelong on Sunday March 17; Cottesloe Beach Perth on Sunday April 7; and Stuart Park, Wollongong on Sunday April 14th, have been cancelled.

“This is due to John's recent illness from which he is still recovering. We wish John all the very best for a speedy recovery.

“We’re sure you’re just as disappointed as us…”

Last month Farnham was forced to cancel March tour dates in New Zealand after he was “hospitalised with a severe infection after having minor surgery two weeks ago”.

“He is expected to make a full recovery, but doctors have advised him not to make the journey across the Tasman,” it was reported at the time.
