Severe Weather WARNING Issued For Adelaide

The Bureau of Meteorology has released a severe weather warning for damaging winds for people in Adelaide Metropolitan, Mount Lofty Ranges, Yorke Peninsula, Mid North, Kangaroo Island, Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South East and Lower South East districts.

According to the BOM:

“Damaging winds, averaging 55-70 km/h with peak gusts in excess of 90 km/h, are possible in the warning area today, most likely near the coast and about the higher ground this morning then extending over eastern districts late afternoon and evening.

“Locations which may be affected include Mount Gambier, Robe, Clare, Minlaton, Victor Harbour, Murray Bridge and Kingscote.

“The State Emergency Service advises that people should:

- Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;

- Secure or put away loose items around your property.

- Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.”
