South Australia’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate has risen by 0.9 per cent to become the highest in the country at 6.9 per cent.
According to News Ltd:
“It’s the highest rate since May 2017, when it reached 7 per cent.
“SA’s increase came as the nation’s unemployment rate remained steady at 5.2 per cent for the fourth month in a row.
“South Australia now has the highest jobless rate of all the states, followed by Queensland at 6.4 per cent and Tasmania at 6 per cent.
“The number of South Australians in work is at 853,200, while the number looking for work but unable to find a job has now reached 62,900, an increase of 9300 people.”
