South Australia’s supply of its iconic Farmers Union Iced Coffee is getting low, with a picture of empty shelves sparking a big reaction online.

One customer has posted on the company’s Facebook page:

"Okay. So we have been to seven different stores -- Foodland, Woolworths, Coles, IGA and Aldi.”

"No-one has any 2-litre FUIC!!! Some don't even have the smaller cartons.

"Do we need to declare a national emergency? There will be riots! Help!!!"

According to News Ltd:

Over the past couple of days, customers have been noticing empty shelves where their beloved milk drink should be.

The current owners of the famous SA beverage, Lion Dairy & Drinks, says drought conditions have impacted their supply.

“Extreme weather conditions — including drought, together with significant cost increases across water, feed and energy — have contributed to the challenges facing dairy production in Australia…” a spokeswoman said.
