Hog’s Breath Café has announced the closure of its Glenelg and Holden Hill restaurants via posts on Facebook.

Pages for each store uploaded “temporarily closed” images along with a caption: “Unfortunately the store will be temporarily closed from today onwards. We apologise for the inconvenience. We hope to be serving great steaks and other meals soon.”

According to a reply comment from an account for Jordy Caridi, staff found out about the closure only hours earlier.

A spokesman for liquidators Heard Phillips told The Advertiser the franchisor and landlords of the two properties were in conversation “in the hope that (both restaurants) will open again in the near future.”

“We continue to have discussions between landlord and franchisor,” he told the paper.
