The pursuit of an allegedly stolen car early Friday morning in Adelaide’s south lasted only “a matter of minutes” before the car slammed into a concrete wall.
“At this stage it is subject to an investigation, however early indications are that the police were some way behind the vehicle to try and catch up with it,” senior sergeant Scott Collins said.
“They did have their emergency lights activated at the time, and their sirens.”
The car crashed just after 5am on Seaford Rd, Seaford Meadows.
The 17-year-old female driver is fighting for life in hospital and her 24-year-old passenger has been arrested. Both are known to police.
