Police have released new CCTV of the suspect in the sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl at Blair Athol last week.

According to SAPOL:

Police want to highlight the man’s clothing, a light coloured top and dark shorts, and the side-by-side double pram he is pushing.

The victim is from the Afghan community and the suspect spoke to her in her language.  He is described as being of Middle Eastern appearance and aged about 30 to 50, with dark hair with a fringe that partially covered his forehead. He was with two young girls, believed to be aged between 1 and 4.

Detective Senior Sergeant Graham Tomkins, Special Crimes Investigation Section said, “This was an extremely brazen daylight attack.  The vision shows there were a lot of people in the vicinity of the playground, including passing motorists, who may have had the opportunity to see the man with the pram.

“We believe he walked in a southerly direction along Blount Street to the reserve on Leslie Avenue.”
