Lucy Paveley’s Husband Breaks His Silence

2 min read

The husband of the mother of two killed in a hit-run crash last Sunday has released a message.

When Lucy’s boss, Anglicare CEO Peter Sandeman, published a statement concerning the tragedy, husband Jamie asked that the following words be added:

“We do not encourage bitterness, anger or revenge.”

Mr Sandeman told The Advertiser he has been in close contact with Lucy’s family this week.

“They have asked that we share how grateful they are for the amazing outpouring of care and concern from the wider community.

“The family advised they are taking great comfort from the love that people are expressing.

“They want us all to know that they are managing, and are certainly comforted by people’s kindness.

“Lucy’s husband Jamie said that he very much appreciates that people want to support him and the children and that this is helping with the healing process.

“It is heartwarming to see that in the face of such a sad and senseless tragedy people have rallied together to direct their energy in the form of love and support to Jamie and their children.”

A GoFundMe page has been created for anyone who would like to support the family with a money donation.
