North Adelaide residents and business owners are reportedly against a plan to use the empty Le Cornu site as a car park.
On Tuesday FIVEAA’s David Penberthy tipped off listeners to the plan, which now appears to be facing opposition.
According to The Advertiser, North Adelaide Precinct Association president Morag Horton said:
“We are hoping for a temporary activation of the space — we think a car park would be an eyesore.
“(We would) a greening of the space. We’d love to see something that is used as a community hub that retains and attracts people to North Adelaide.
“We acknowledge that parking needs to be incorporated in the development though.”
