Tensions are rising at Adelaide Airport as taxi drivers protest against Uber drivers who have been permitted to start picking up airport passengers.
In a strange twist, FIVEAA has obtained audio of the Taxi Council’s president Jim Triantafyllou pleading with his own taxi drivers.
In the meantime passenger wait times for taxis has blown out, reports FIVEAA news director Matthew Pantelis. “It’s a crazy situation.”
On Thursday, a ban preventing UberX drivers from picking up airport passengers was lifted.
