Jay Weatherill Says He Has A Bomb To Drop On Xenophon Party

1 min read

11.57am, UPDATE — Nick Xenophon responds to premier’s bombshell claim with Leon Byner on FIVEAA:

“It is news to me, although I have heard the rumour has been spread by Labor sources.

“This is just getting hysterical.

“Clearly both sides feel threatened by the emergence of  SA Best. This is pretty desperate politics.

“It is just silly. Where is the evidence? I think that this is scuttlebutt.

“I’m now copping it from both Labor and the Liberals with this misleading stuff.

“It seems like a complete load of rubbish. My message to the premier is put up or shut up. Tell us who they are.”

EARLIER…

Premier Jay Weatherill says he knows the names of at least three SA Best candidates who will quit the party if they are elected at the March state election.

Seven’s Mike Smithson reports the premier said the would reveal the identities in “due course”.
