Troubled former AFL star Ben Cousins has been released Acacia Prison, WA.
Cousins has served 10 months of a one year sentence for breaching a violence restraining order and stalking his ex-partner — as well as two drug related charges.
He was picked up from the prison by his father Brian at about 8am on Wednesday, and according to thewest.com.au was “all smiles”.
Cousins was eligible for parole in August 2017 but failed a drug test.
