The Bureau of Meteorology has released an extreme fire danger warning for the Mount Lofty Ranges and Lower South East.
The BOM is forecasting:
“Very hot and dry with north to northwesterly winds increasing to around 30-40 km/h during the morning and early afternoon. Winds turning westerly 25-35 km/h in the South East mid afternoon. Isolated gusty thunderstorms northwest of Coober Pedy.”
The Bureau has also released a Sever Fire Danger warning for North West Pastoral, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North, Yorke Peninsula, Kangaroo Island and Upper South East.
The Country Fire Service advises you to:
- Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now.
- Monitor the fire and weather situation through your local radio station, www.cfs.sa.gov.au, and www.bom.gov.au.
- Call 000 (Triple Zero) in an emergency.
