Aussie rock and roller Angry Anderson has denied reports his son Liam was ‘best mates’ with the man charged with his murder.

“They were not best friends,” Anderson has told The Daily Telegraph. “He wasn’t even in Liam’s main group of friends.”

Matthew Flame, 20, has been charged with Liam’s death after the pair left a party together on early Sunday morning when Flame was reportedly worried that he had overdosed.

Anderson says he raised all his kids to “always do the right thing” and to “look after people”.

“That’s what Liam was doing on Sunday morning.

“Liam was trying to help him. He was such a decent human being.”
