All Adelaide Public Transport Will Stop For A Minute’s Silence On Remembrance Day

Nov 8, 2018

For the first time in decades all Adelaide Metro public transport will pull over to observe a minute’s silence at 11am on Remembrance Day, Sunday 11 November.

The only excepted services will be those on the Southern Expressway and South Eastern Freeway.

According to FIVEaa news director Matthew Pantelis, the practice was common for decades but hasn’t been observed for about 20 years.

This year’s Remembrance Day will mark the 100th anniversary of the Armistice which ended the First World War.
