Multiple cold fronts will sweep across the Great Australian Bight this weekend and send Adelaide temps into free fall.
“Southeast South Australia, including Adelaide, will bear the brunt of the temperature drops,” Sky News meteorologist Tristan Meyers has told news.com.au.
“Adelaide will have a 4-5C degree temperature drop between Thursday and Friday. Wind chill will also be the most significant here — feeling 3-4C cooler than the temperature suggests.”
Along with lower temperatures, the cold fronts will also bring rain.
“The first in a series of cold fronts will hit the south-east tonight, each one bringing a burst of showers and cooler temperatures,” Meyers said.
“Hitting Adelaide tonight, a band of rain will traverse over Victoria on Friday, making for a soggy morning in Melbourne.”
The Bureau of Meteorology is currently forecasting a medium to very high chance of rain in Adelaide for each of the next four days, along with thunderstorms on Thursday evening and small hail possible on Friday afternoon.
The expected minimum on Saturday and Sunday is 6C.
