Adelaide Primary School Kids Have Been Reporting Some Suspicious Behaviour

3 min read

Three reports have been made of men behaving suspiciously towards primary school aged children in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.

According to SAPOL:

“Elizabeth Police are seeking information from the public following the three separate reports over the last week in relation to the actions of men at Salisbury North, Salisbury Park and Craigmore.

“None of the children were harmed and it has not yet been determined if the incidents are linked, however police are keen to clarify the full circumstances of each incident.

“In the first, just before 8.30am on Friday (8 June) a girl was walking to school along Penong Crescent at Salisbury North, was followed by a man in a vehicle who offered her a ride to school which she refused.

“The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20’s, wearing a black clothing and a hooded top.

“He was driving a older model four-door car with a dark back window, a sun shade on the rear left passenger window and blue wheel rims.

“Then, just before 3pm on Tuesday (12 June) a boy and his younger sister were walking along Goddard Road at Salisbury Park when they noticed a man watching them.

“The  man was seen to walk down Chatswood Way, but later walked up behind them on Fenden Road.  The children reported the man started running towards them and they crossed Saints Road when a woman stopped her car and assisted them.

“The man is described being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his mid 40’s, 180cm tall with big build, black hair and a black beard. He was wearing dark clothing including a black leather jacket.

“Police investigators have checked the route walked by the children and obtained a CCTV image of a man of similar description:

“Then just after 3pm on Wednesday (13 June) a boy was walking near Craigmore Road at Craigmore, when a man grabbed his backpack as he reached London Court.

“The boy broke free and ran off. Other people in the vicinity may have witnessed the incident with police appealing for them to come forward.

“The man is described as being aged in his 30’s, about 180cm tall, with bits of hair on his chin.  He had a deep voice with possibly a Scottish or Irish accent.

“He wore a dark coloured leather jacket, black jeans and a black ‘Nike’ baseball cap.

“Police, who are liaising with schools in the area, are keen to hear from any member of the public who witnessed these incidents.

“Elizabeth CIB have also asked that anyone who recognises the man pictured in the CCTV image to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au – you can remain anonymous.”
