Local tech company Fleet Space is planning to build a space mission control centre in Adelaide after receiving a $500,000 grant from the state government.
The company plans to launch 100 nanosatellites that will be used to monitor various assets as part of the Internet of Things.
Fleet CEO Flavia Tata Nardini said:
“This grant enables us to create technical jobs that will grow the space industry here in Adelaide.
“We want to put SA on the map as a space hub … it really is an exciting time to be a space business in SA.”
