Two men have been arrested after a suspected drug lab was found at Henley Beach last night.
It is alleged that about 3.15pm Sunday, 19 May police and MFS crews were called to a house on the Esplanade after reports of a fire.
When fire crews arrived, two men ran out of the property. One of the men ran towards the beach and was quickly arrested. He suffered minor injuries as a result of the fire and was taken to hospital for treatment. The second man ran from the scene but presented at Port Adelaide Police Station in the early hours of this morning.
A 33-year-old man from Hendon and a 32-year-old man from Grange were charged with arson, traffic a controlled drug and manufacture a controlled drug.
They have both been refused police bail and are expected to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
Anyone with information about the manufacture, sale or supply of illicit drugs are urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000 or report online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au – you can remain anonymous.
