Actresses are reportedly planning to wear black at the Golden Globes award ceremony in January as a protest against sexual misconduct in Hollywood.
According to the Hollywood Reporter:
“There was a recent meeting at talent agency CAA about how to achieve gender equality in the industry (the agency is also taking the 50/50 by 2020 pledge), there was talk of a new protocol for the red carpet — one of the biggest platforms for women in Hollywood.
“’There was discussion of crafting some sort of talking points,’ said a source.”
The proposed move comes after a decision by the Screen Actors Guild to use only female presenters at their awards show.
Hollywood has been rocked this year by accusations of assault against some of the industry’s biggest names.
