A Northern Territory councillor has slammed UK supermarket chain Waitrose after it stared selling gender-neutral ‘Happy You Day’ cards instead of ‘Mother’s Day’ cards.
Alice Springs local and proud mother Jacinta Price told 2GB radio in Sydney the move was ridiculous:
“I didn’t spend that amount of time in labour, bringing up my boys, to have that particular day taken away from me.
“I feel like we’re now going backwards.
“We just need to leave it alone. Let us be.”
