Police have arrested a man for an attempted murder at Salisbury on Thursday morning.
According to SAPOL:
“Just before 11am a 27-year-old Salisbury Downs man was walking along Salisbury Highway near Arthur Street, when he was approached from behind by another man.
“Police will allege a 36-year-old man attempted to strangle the victim with a cord before members of the public intervened.
“The alleged offender ran from the scene but was located and arrested by police a short time later.
“The victim was treated at the Modbury Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.”
Police say the incident appears to be random and ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have assisted the victim to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
