A percentage of select beer sales at a local Adelaide pub will make its way over to Kangaroo Island to help with the bushfire recovery.
During January Sparkke at the Whitmore on Morphett St will donate 25 per cent of sales of its American Red Ale called ‘Climate Change is a Burning Issue’ to the Kangaroo Island Mayoral Relief and Recovery Bushfire Fund.
According to Sparkke Co-Founder, Kari Allen:
“The devastation that these fires are having on our country is absolutely catastrophic. Loss of life, homes and wildlife, as well as general population well-being, is being impacted in all areas of Australia. We want our Red Ale’s message to keep the conversation going about climate change and
the very real effects that we’re experiencing…“This is our first Red Ale, it’s an underrated style that nobody is really talking about or making. Stores are inundated with Red IPA’s which are super heavy and we wanted a delicious ale that’s still flavourful with lower alcohol.”
